Depression hurts---mentally, socially, and physically. Not only do I teach about it, I have suffered from it in the past. It messes with your thought process, your energy, your relationships, and body aches and pains.
How do you know you are depressed?
If you answer yes to most of these questions....you might want to seek medical treatment soon.
1. Do you feel hopeless and or worthless most of the time?
2. Does it feel like sadness is a way of life?
3. Do you find yourself lashing out at others for no real reason?
4. Are you sleeping a lot and still feeling tired?
5. Are you having trouble sleeping at all?
6. Has your hunger increased dramatically and you have gained weight? Or the opposite and LOST weight?
7. Do you have aches and pains that seem to move around your body?
8. Do you have thoughts of ending it all or people would be better off without you?
9. Have you thought about suicide?
10. Do you have a plan for suicide?
